PROVISION OF SOLO PARENT IDENTIFICATION CARD

ABOUT THE SERVICE

The DSWD being the led agency in the implementation of Solo Parent Welfare Act (RA 8972), advocates the implementation of comprehensive programs for Solo Parents in the local government units through the MSWD.

Benefits include livelihood services, employment – related benefits (parental leave, flexible work schedule), psychological services, educational services, health services, housing services.

CLIENT GROUPS: Solo Parents

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Certificate of Residency from the Barangay
  2. Appropriate documentation/ evidence that application is a solo parent (death certificate of spouse, etc.)
  3. In case of a  transferee from other barangay, Barangay Clearance from the former barangay indicating whether or not the applicant has availed of benefits for solo parent and the nature of such b

TOTAL PROCESSING TIME:

  • 1 to 5 minutes
  • 15 to 20  minutes
  • Home visit  (if necessary) –  to check the status of the family and the residency.20 to 30 minutes
